Stories, events and life in general from Miss Kitty's point of view

Friday

Ah Friday

How quickly the hours pass as another week comes and goes the way of the others. Days get shorter, and sunny spots are harder to find. Dad has been busy on the computer all day, stopping by my pillow when he is taking a break to stretch his legs. Though he disrupts my meditations, I welcome his company.

Dad shares with me some sad news, for a few hours ago he learned of Molly crossing over to the other side of the bridge. She had clung on until mum came back from her trip and when she held Molly, she slowly slipped away, closing her eyes for the last time. Our hearts go out to them, for daddy knows how it feels to lose a friend and companion in ones arms.

We are both quiet, looking out of the window of our balcony into the garden. Watching how the wind plays with the last few minutes of the late afternoon light filtering through the few remaining leaves clinging to the branches and casting magical moving shadows before us. Dad gentle messages my back and neck, then gives me a few paw rubs that always make me purr much louder, as I soak up a few more sun puddles.

This is a big over-sized pillow it’s so very comfy, especially with the soft furry blanket on top. One cannot help but want to sink into a deep slumber. Oh well, time for another ‘power nip’ before dinner.

Life is indeed good . . .

Another lovely post Miss Kitty - we are very sad about poor Molly too - so many kitties have gone to the Bridge recently.
You look very comfy having your "Power Nap" before watching over your Dad's work and snoopervising his efforts.

Dear Miss Kitty,
It breaks our human hearts whenever one of our dear little ones passes over. We so treasure the gift of your companionship.

Find that sunny spot and bask in the warm light. Rest, knowing that you are loved.
XOXOX!

Miss Kitty, we were very sad to hear about Molly too. Our mom says it makes her treasure the time she has to spend with us - and we can tell that your dad feels the same way. We are glad that you and he have each other.

Many purrs from Franklin, Dobby, and your fellow former feral, Tasha

Miss Kitty,
We enjoy a caress (or four or five)while we meditate, also. Your pillow looks purrfect to lounge on and think about our Pals like Molly who have gone before us.

Miss Kitty
What glorious thoughts you have communicated in your lovely posting. Those autumnal sunbeams over your beautiful furrs are indeed glorious. We have been reflecting on Molly and how sad it is to lose a friend of so many years. We will purr softly for Molly and light our candle.

We didn't know Molly, but it's always sad to hear of a dear pet's passing. It is so painful missing them. We are so sorry for Molly's family.

Your post is lovely and so are your pictures. I love your pillow. :)

That sure was a beautiful post, Miss Kitty. We, too, are very sad about Molly having to go to the Rainbow Bridge. We are praying and purring for her mom and dad during this difficult time.

Hallo,

Thank you for letting us know about Molly. I went to pay my respect, even though I felt like an intruder. So sweet of you.

Glad you had a lovely day chasing the sun and enjoying your massage.

Sorry Miss Kitty that Molly has gone...we lost three of ours in a row last year (two from old age and a third, far younger, from cancer). It was a horrible and sad year. I came over here because I love your owner - he is a sweet and kind man and also because I miss my cat friends. And now I'm crying becuase Molly has reminded me of my last moments with my special friends.

Hello Miss Kitty, I have not been doing much visiting since Molly died, and I did not know you had mentioned her on your blog until just now.

How kind of you to offer so much comfort and I thank you most sincerely. I have been very touched by the outpouring of compassion from friends old and new. It has made this difficult time a little easier to bear.
